LAUREN A. ROSSI
Lauren Rossi was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. She was trained in screen-printing at Fugi School of Crafts, Italy, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan, and the Fabric Workshop and Museum, Pennsylvania. Lauren Rossi Designs, LaRD Ink was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 2007, after four years of working through independent contracts.
She designs textiles out of her love for screen-printing, inspired by the simplicity of everyday objects. All of her designs are drawn and hand screen-printed for those who have unique taste and enjoy bold design. Printed in vibrant color her designs describe strange scenarios, super market oddities and a close, yet simple observation of objects. Her textiles are timeless in that they reflect a history of textile design while simultaneously finding a niche in the contemporary cutting edge.
Rossi's hand screen-printed fabrics are designed for interiors and upholstery. One-of-a-kind upholstered pieces are made from discarded furniture. Custom design consultation and fabrication is available upon request.
